J. F. K.

Two pieces in US-NH Ma21 Y11 A29 LM4704 are headed by the composer initials "J. F. K." This attribution has not been solved.

Description

The second piece by J. F. K., Machs mit mir Gott nach, is only a fragment, the score abruptly stops after the first page, and the next is labeled "Sonata di Bach" but has no score. The title "per canonem" suggests that there is a cannon, but it is not written. The first piece, a contrapunctus and two evolutia on Jesus Christus unser Heiland, is a contrapunctus all'Octava. The third verse (second evolutio) is slightly corrupted.
