Heinrich Baltzer Wedemann (1646-1718) was an organist living in Lüneburg. Now he is well-known as being the copyist for some of the highly important Lüneburg Tablatures.

Life

Wedemann was a student and assistant to Franz Schaumkell (another scribe of the Lüneburg Tablatures). In 1678 he became the organist at the Nikolaihof, north of Lüneburg.

Manuscripts

Wedemann has been identified as the scribe of manuscripts D-Lr Mus.ant.pract. K.N. 209, 207/15 and 207/16.
