History

Little is known about the history of the manuscripts before they were owned by the Genoese Durazzo family in the 1700s.

It remained in the possession of this family until well into the 20th century, although the collection was split into two in 1893 because of a heritage division. As early a 1930, however, the halves were reunited when they were acquired by the Biblioteca Nazionale in Turin.[1]
