According to [[Pieter Dirksen]], the works ''Gott der Vater wohn uns bei'' and ''Jesus Christus, unser Heiland'' are considered dubious compositions by Scheidemann. These works have some typically-Scheidemann motifs and idioms, but they are handled in "an entirely untypical stiff and dogmatic manner".
