The Johannes Fischer Tablature is a collection of pieces composed and/or copied by Johannes Fischer. It contains both original pieces and intabulations by him and other composers.

Description

In 1595, Fischer assembled a two-volume tablature (of which only the second volume survives) of choral music in intabulated form. Some pieces include additional virtuosic cadences and intonations.

The manuscript contains works by William Brade, Diomedes Cato, and Fischer.

The only three instrumental works in the manuscript are Melodia a 4 by Fischer and the two pieces by Diomedes Cato.
