As far as the pieces by [[Dietrich Buxtehude]] are concerned, almost all of the works in this manuscript are copied from [[D-B Mus.ms. 2681]]. However, two pieces–Magnificat primi Toni and the Prelude in F-Sharp Minor, are not accounted for, as it is not known what manuscript they were copied from.

It is a copy of D-B Am.B 462, which is itself a copy of B-Bc 26659. Mus.ms. 2681/1 was copied for the collection of Carl Otto Friedrich Graf from Voß. In 1851, it came into the pocession of the Königlichen Bibliothek, Berlin.
