== Life ==
Rinck was born in Elgersburg, Thuringia, on February 18, 1770.

His first musical teacher was [[Johann Christoph Kittel]], a Bach student.

In 1805, Rinck became the organist and musical teacher of the musical school in Darmstadt and was appointed to the ''Hofkapelle'' of Grand Duke Ludwig and became the court organist in 1813.

Rinck passed away in Darmstadt on August 7, 1846. His musical library was sold and is now in Yale University.
